Town Hall with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
Ella Frederick and I attended the Town Hall at the Central Park SummerStage with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. She answered questions from journalist Katie Couric about healthcare, the 2020 Presidential Election (Kirsten's eyes are focussed on 2018), the wage gap and female confidence, and gave inspiring advice directed toward women.
"First thing to do is believe in yourself, and you are someone who can absolutely make a difference. Own your ambition. If there is an issue that you think is so important that you want to fight for, you have to fight for it. You might be the only person in the world who will have the passion, intensity and dedication to that issue. It's up to you."
When the Town Hall wrapped up, the senator took photos with guests and signed our books. It was an amazing experience to watch and listen to a woman who is not only in line with the things we care about, but she is fighting for us directly as our State Senator. We believe in Kirsten Gillibrand and fully support her in the upcoming election(s). We can't wait to join her off the sidelines.
