Made For History Collection - NYFW
New York Fashion Week 2016 is off to an incredible start! Tonight's Made For History fashion show in support of the Hillary Clinton Victory Fund was incredible. Anna Wintour and Chelsea Clinton spoke to a packed studio space in the SOHO neighborhood of Manhattan. I arrived early fully decked out in my Shoshanna Red, White and Blue Hillary dress and H-Logo earrings. It was easy to check in and while mingling outside, Michael Kors entered the building. Shortly after, Huma Abedin entered. I felt butterflies in my stomach in such a good way.
As showtime became closer the room began to fill up. It was exciting to notice celebrities sprinkled into the crowd among the Hillary Super-Fans (like me!) I brought a stash of Babes For Hillary pins, and was delighted when the designer behind Alice & Olivia, Stacey Bendet, accepted an original Babes For Hillary black and white Hillary pin with a smile, and attached it to her jacket. I own some of her pieces and now she owns something of mine. Very cool and fun!
The fashion show began with the sound of marching band drumming coming from behind the HUGE Hillary H-Logo stage. As they entered the stage, I realized this wasn't going to be an average fashion show. This was going to be incredible.
When the Georgina Chapman Made For History t-shirt exited the room, therefor concluding the fashion portion of the evening, Demi Lovato and her two backup singers took the Hillary stage. She opened with Confident and I'll never forget how beautiful and impactful Demi was. The entire evening was a whirlwind of magic.
Congratulations to all of the incredible performers and designers who participated in this event. Please enjoy my slideshow! All photos are by me, Kristen Blush.
There were ballerinas, professional stomp dancers, french bulldogs, families, balloon bouquets, celebrity designers and more on the runway. This was no ordinary fashion show. The Made For History collection was represented by the diverse joy that is Team Hillary Clinton.
